Ardei umpluti/ Stuffed bell peppers

Scroll down for English version or select your language from the right!IMG_7457Ardeii umpluti sunt unii dintre preferatii mei. O mancare pe care nu o mancam prea des, dar cand ii fac, ii bate vantul!

Reteta este foarte simpla, se pot umple cu ce carne doriti, acestia sunt facuti cu carne de porc si fara prea multe alte adaosuri.

Asadar aveti nevoie de:

  • 10-12 ardei marisori
  • 1 kg de carne tocata de porc (sau mix de porc si vita)
  • 4 linguri orez
  • sare dupa gust
  • piper
  • cimbru
  • o ceapa mare
  • un morcov (optional)
  • cateva linguri ulei pentru inabusit ceapa
  • suc de rosii sau rosii proaspete pentru sos
  • faina pentru tapetat sau capacele de rosii
  • marar verde

IMG_7424Mod de preparare:

Se inabusete ceapa in cateva linguri de ulei apoi se amesteca cu carnea, orezul si mirodeniile. Daca va place, puteti pune si un morcov ras pe razatoarea fina in carne si chiar o lingura sau doua de bulion.

Ardeii se spala bine si se curata de cotoare apoi se pun la scurs.

Se umplu ardeii cu carne si se tapeteaza cu putina faina la capete ca sa nu iasa carnea. Atentie sa nu-i indesati prea rau 🙂

Se aseaza intr-o cratita incapatoare si se acopera cu apa. Se fierb la foc mic pe aragaz apoi ii puteti coace in cuptor cca 40 de minute. Spre final adaugam rosiile tocate marunt sau se poate adauga bulion dupa gust in sos. Se potriveste de sare. Daca carnea anu a fost foarte grasa se mai pot adauga si cateva linguri de ulei.

Se serveste cu smantanica si verdeata proaspata, marar in special!

Stuffed peppers are ones of my favorites. A food you do not eat too often, but when you do its worth it! The recipe is very simple,they can be filled with the meat you want, they are made with pork and without many other additions.

Ingredients
  • 10-12 Bell peppers
  • 1 kg of minced pork (or mix of pork and beef)
  • 4 tablespoons rice
  • salt to taste
  • pepper
  • thyme (summer savory)
  • one large onion
  • a carrot (optional)
  • a few tablespoons oil to saute the onions
  • tomato juice or fresh tomato sauce
  • flour for tapping the ends
  • fresh dill
Instructions
  1. Saute the onion in a few tablespoons of oil then mix it with meat, rice and spices. If you like, you can put a fine grated carrot and even a tablespoon or two of broth.
  2. Wash peppers well and clean the tabs then let them drain.
  3. Fill peppers with meat and coat with a little bit of flour at the ends so the meat wont get out. Be careful do not fill them till the edge!
  4. Put them in a saucepan and cover with water. Boil on low heat on the stove then you can bake them in the oven for about 40 minutes. Towards the end add chopped tomatoes or tomato sauce can be added as for your taste. Add salt if needed. If the meat wasnt very fatty add a few tablespoons of oil.
  5. Serve with sour cream and fresh herbs, especially dill!
  6. Enjoy your meal!
